Hydro International appoints Michael Jennings as Chief Executive

We're pleased to announce today that Michael Jennings has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive.

Michael has been non-executive Chairman of the company since it was acquired by Agilitas Private Equity in February 2018, and with the recent acquisitions of Isodaq, Hydro-Logic Services, M2 Renewables and Settled Solids Management, he moves full time into the Chief Executive role at a time of unprecedented growth and expansion for the company.

“This is an exciting time to be taking on this role,” said Michael, “Hydro International has built a reputation for providing unconventional solutions to flooding, stormwater and wastewater treatment challenges, and that success has provided us with an incredible platform on which to build. My focus will be to make sure that we capitalize on the opportunities that we have identified—developing new products, expanding our support services and bringing our expertise to customers in new markets, industries and sectors.”

“We are delighted to have persuaded Michael to become full-time CEO, given his deep experience of this business. The business is seeing unprecedented growth, including the recent creation of a new joint venture in China,” said Martin Calderbank, Managing Partner at Agilitas.

Michael was Chief Executive of Hydro International plc from July 2013 until its takeover in late 2016, having spent his career in industrial product, service and technology-led businesses in the automotive, electronics and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to his appointment Michael was Chief Executive of Autins Group plc, and before that Managing Director of the Industrial and Pharmaceutical Divisions at BOC Group plc, where he led the successful sale of the Pharmaceutical Systems business from BOC to IMA Group in 2008. Following the sale Michael joined IMA as Managing Director of its Pharmaceutical division.

Michael’s other roles have included Vice President and General Manager of the Enclosure Systems Division at Flextronics, Director at the Thermo King Division of Ingersoll-Rand and Plant Manager in the Spark Plugs Division of AlliedSignal (now part of Honeywell).
