With the cost of 2012’s widespread floods reaching over £1 billion, the need for those involved in prevention and response to come together with a cohesive and joined-up approach is stark. ICE Flooding 2013 will focus on developing flood resilient communities - a UK priority following the last 18 months of adverse weather and the devastation caused by flooding.

The aim of this conference will be to set out the policy drivers, emerging trends and understanding on the scale of the problem and whether we are making progress. It will then focus on the delivering of cost effective practice and what form this should take, and how lessons can be taken forward into policy and investment programmes.
